Panels Plus Light Gauge Steel Wall Framing Machine

This machine is designed for building light gauge wall panels. The tracks and studs are manually loaded onto the table and placed in position. The wall is then clamped to ensure the wall is square before screwing the tracks to the studs.

Squaring Table: The walk-through squaring table consists of a stationary and moveable section. The moveable section is guided by two rack and gear tracks on the floor. The table can be opened or closes to set the wall height, or clamp and unclamp the wall by simply stepping on the footswitch on the load end of the table or pressing the open or close buttons located on the exit end of the table. There is a 2-1/2” tall squaring/clamping lip on both stationary and operator sides of the table. After the wall is complete, the operator unclamps the table and raises skate-wheel conveyors lifting the wall. The wall can then be rolled out.

Tool Carriages: There is one tool carriage on each side of the table. Each tool carriage consists of a clamp arm and two screw tools. The operator moves the carriage so the screw tool is in position to insert a screw through the track and into the stud. The operator then presses a single button and the clamp are lowers onto the stud and a screw is inserted into the top of the channel. After all the top screws have been inserted, the operator uses the same procedure to insert the bottom screws.

Panels Plus Steel Stud Sheathing Machine with Screw Bridge

This machine is designed to fasten Sheathing to wall panels made from 2x4 to 2x10, steel studs. The wall panel is rolled into the sheathing machine from the Framer or Squaring table and clamped to ensure the wall panel is square. The operator then uses the bridge to fasten the sheathing to the wall.

Squaring Table: The squaring table is a walk-through open table design consisting of a stationary and moveable section. The moveable section traverses in and out on v-tracks mounted on the floor. The table can be opened or closed to set the wall height, or clamp and unclamp the wall by simply stepping on a footswitch located on the load end of the table or pressing the open or close buttons located on the exit end of the table. The wall panel is rolled in and out of the table on roller conveyors.

Stud Fastening: The screw bridge consists of a beam with twenty-four (24) screw tools spaced 6 inches apart with a shift of 3 inches for screwing seams.The operator inputs the wall height, sheathing thickness and screw spacing into a touch screen to set up the bridge. While screwing off the wall the bridge is controlled with a handheld pendant. The bridge height is controlled with screw jacks on each end. Each tool is controlled in the up and down sequence with guided cylinders.

Channel Stitchers: The screw bridge is equipped with top and bottom channel stitchers. The operator positions the stitchers at the end of the wall and presses the Auto-Return function and the bridge will insert a screw and automatically move the preset screw spacing and insert another screw.

Electrical: The power for the bridge is 230 volt 60 Hz 5 wire 3 phase. The power can be connected to the bridge through a customer supplied festooning system, or through cable track on the side of the table. The wire to connect the bridge needs to be supplied by the customer during installation.
