DUAL BEAM SHEATHING STATION
Quality Panels, Every Time
The Dual Beam Sheathing Station fastens sheathing to wood wall panels ensuring quality panels every time. It consists of a squaring table and dual beams, allowing two tools with different fasteners to be loaded at the same time, allowing for fast changeover between fasteners.
This model can be stand-alone or integrated into a full production line. Various sizes and configurations are available.
Benefits
- Ergonomic working height
- Flexibility with fastener spacing
- Fastens consistently and accurately
- Improved employee safety
Dual Beam Sheathing Station
The Dual Beam Sheathing Bridge allows two tools with different fasteners to be loaded at the same time, allowing for fast changeover between fasteners.
The Dual Beam Sheathing Station is designed to fasten sheathing to wood wall panels to ensure quality panels every time. This model is ideal for companies that manufacture wood wall panels, such as off-site building manufacturers, manufactured home builders, and modular builders.
The Panels Plus wall panel systems are more ergonomic than traditional construction methods and are developed at an ergonomic working height. This eliminates the need to continually kneel or hunch over to build wall panels – improving employee health and safety.
How it Works
The Dual Beam Sheathing Station is equipped with a dual beam sheathing bridge with Servo driven motors and a squaring table. After the wall panel has been framed and sheathing is tacked on, it is rolled into the Dual Beam Sheathing Station via roller conveyors. The squaring table includes a squaring edge, horizontal rollers, footswitch, push-button controls, stationary side, and a motorized telescoping side.
Once the wall panel is loaded, the telescoping side is guided by tracks on the floor to set the panel height. The wall panel is re-clamped against the squaring edge by stepping on the footswitch on the load end of the table or by push-button controls on the exit end of the squaring table. This holds the wood wall panel square during the sheathing process.
The sheathing bridge is driven up and down the wall on a rack and gear system. To assist in positioning the bridge at each stud, there is a laser pointer that projects a line on the plate. The laser is lined up with the nails that are visible from framing the wall panel.
When the wood wall panel is sheathed, it is easily moved down the production line via the horizontal rollers. Power conveyors are an optional upgrade to move wall panels hands-free between workstations.
Sheathing Bridge
The sheathing bridge features Servo driven motors that provide precise accuracy and positioning vs. chain-drive systems and an operator platform. The sheathing bridge is equipped with a touchscreen and manual joystick. The joystick assists with moving the bridge to the next stud. The touchscreen offers 9 presets for fastener spacings. You can toggle between various presets and change your fastener spacing via the touchscreen.
