This November, members of the Panels Plus team, along with leadership from Innovance, the parent company to Panels Plus, had the opportunity to meet with MiTek during their Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Offsite Meeting. Panels Plus and MiTek have a long-standing relationship. In fact, MiTek is the largest distributor of Panels Plus products.
This partnership dates back to 1989, when Panels Plus’ sister company, Lou-Rich, helped build and develop a specialty saw for MiTek. Since then, Panels Plus and MiTek have collaborated on numerous projects, solidifying a relationship grounded in innovation and shared success.
Meeting Highlights:
The MiTek RSM Offsite, hosted in Minneapolis, brought together 14 MiTek sales leaders and 7 people from Panels Plus & Innovance. A variety of items were on the agenda, from a recap of Panels Plus and MiTek’s history of partnership, to training initiatives, Panels Plus product overviews, and anticipated plans for 2024. The meeting was a great way to energize the MiTek and Panels Plus partnership and an opportunity to strategize and plan on how we could better help our customers achieve success.
Certification Program:
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the idea to launch a Panels Plus certification program. This program would be aimed at enhancing the skill set and knowledge of the MiTek Sales Team and would likely include time in Albert Lea at the Panels Plus manufacturing facility, as well as hands-on product installations. The outcome would be each MiTek sales professional that successfully completes the product training program would then be a Panels Plus Certified Solutions Provider. This depth of product knowledge will further assist them to help build great solutions for their customers.
Visit to Frana Companies:
The group also visited Frana Companies, one of Panels Plus’ longstanding customers, to observe Panels Plus equipment and production lines in action. This firsthand experience provided MiTek with valuable insights into the practical application of Panels Plus equipment within a real-life setting.
